For the past 25 years Baker Boys have been crafting delicious baked treats for the people. It’s all about the craft and skill of traditional baking and with a team of trade-qualified bakers we’ve got it covered – from recipe development right through to production and quality control we guarantee perfection in every bite. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, we are a family business with passion and pride in supplying quality fresh and frozen baked goods wholesale to supermarkets and food distributors. Using state-of-the-art equipment, we create a wide range of products that includes slices, cookies and savouries.

Our History

Our story begins back in 1987 when blueberry muffins were all the rage – and seeing an opportunity Andrew set up a small retail bakery with just four staff making muffins and slices for the local market. Four years later sister Sara and her husband Simon joined the team and it wasn’t long before Baker Boys had 12 retail outlets. With product lines expanding to follow global food trends, larger premises were needed to expand our baking facility to cope with the demand.

In 2001, we decided to move away from retail and concentrate on contract manufacturing for largescale retail and foodservice groups within New Zealand. 
We bought in automated high capacity equipment and improved our work processes and flows to deliver large volume wholesale contract production.

We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings, but our commitment to producing top quality product remains the same.

Our Philosophy

AS FRESH AND HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE

We know that gourmet baked treats are an indulgence, but we still make them as good for you as they can be. We use only high quality ingredients from approved suppliers, and we take every measure possible to use natural preserving methods to ensure maximum freshness without compromising nutrition.

We use natural ingredients to preserve freshness where possible and we can freeze our products right after they're baked and ship them frozen to ensure quality and a great shelf life. 

CONTINUING INNOVATION

Keeping up with Innovation is vital to ensuring we remain at the top of our game. That’s why our team travels overseas regularly to attend industry events and look at global trends, as well as keeping up with the latest research and development in food science.
